EL84 - Mullard

The Mullard brand is now owned by the American New Sensor Corporation and is manufactured at the Xpo-Pul - Reflektor factory in Saratov, Russia. The Mullard EL84 power pentode tube is a copy of the original "black plate" tube that is synonymous with the Vox AC30 amp, and was also a mainstay of many quality hi-fie amps in the 1960's.  It features slightly less clean headroom compared to other EL84's, and can be pushed into smooth soft overdrive distortion.

Note: These tubes have a marginally bigger diameter than other EL84 tubes, so they cannot be installed into some '90's era Marshall DSL201 or DSL401 amplifiers, and some reissue Vox AC15 amps.  Please confirm before ordering.
