The 30W TAD 6L6WGC-STR Blackplate is a remake of the vintage small bottle GE-6L6GC and has the same warm lower midrange and silky top end as the classic GE versions of the '50s and '60s.
It is a premium select tube with a short bottle (80mm high, without pins) and black plate, and has been graded as passing all of the TAD Premium Select tests.
The perfect choice for vintage Fender type tweed and blackface amps. It is highly recommended for classic vintage warm and rich tone. Great for jazz or blues tones.
Like the historic RCA 5881, this tube features exclusive blackplate anodes and a side getter, gold grid wire, double getter construction, no-noise filaments and 1.2mm thick heavy duty glass.
This tube is only 80mm high (without pins) and can replace any 5881 or 6L6 tubes.
